Career Progression

• Kedar has almost two decades of experience as a lawyer and for more than one and half decades Kedar has extensively worked in the media and entertainment sector with multiple media companies ranging from radio, digital and television.
• In 2006, Kedar joined Radio City where he handled various commercial as well as artist contracts, barter contracts.
• Thereafter he joined Adlabs / Walkwater Media where he handled various film production and film distribution contracts, contracts with artists, contracts for syndicating and assigning various rights in films. Here Kedar was also responsible for the initial procurement of land for Adlabs Imagica and contracts with various theme park professionals to get them on board. He has worked on contracts for films like ‘Johnny Gaddar’ ‘Tere Bin Laden’, ‘Rita’, etc.
• In 2010, Kedar joined Hungama Digital Media where he has negotiated and finalized contracts for acquisition and syndication with music companies, artists, mobile operators, digital entertainment companies, etc. He has also negotiated and finalized contracts for management of mobile operator VAS platforms and technology contracts.
• Thereafter, Kedar joined B4U group where he was handling contracts for acquisition of rights in content for telecast on television channels and contracts for distribution of the channels. He was also handling various MIB and TRAI compliances of the television channels of B4U.
• In 2020 Kedar joined Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. and was the legal SPOC for 10 business verticals of Shemaroo. Here, Kedar was responsible for drafting, negotiating and finalizing contracts for the OTT division of Shemaroo, contract for syndication of various rights to other television channels, OTT players, etc. He was also responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts for development and creation of originals for Shemaroo’s television channels and OTT service.
