Career Progression

Kedar is an experienced legal veteran with almost two decades in law, fifteen of which have been dedicated to the Media and Entertainment (M&E) industry. His career progression demonstrates deep expertise across radio, digital, film, and television.

• Beginning at Radio City (2006-2007) he works with commercial and artist contracts, barter deals, marketing deals, etc.,
• With Adlabs Films Ltd. & at Walkwater Media (2007-2010), he managed film production and film distribution contracts, contracts with artists, directors, music composers, distribution agreements, commissioning agreements with broadcasters, etc.
• At Hungama Digital Media (2010-2018), he excelled in negotiating complex digital acquisition and syndication agreements with mobile operators and music companies, contracts for managing VAS platforms of the mobile operators and technology contracts.
• With the B4U Group (2018-2020) he specialized in content acquisition, channel distribution, and MIB/ TRAI compliance for the various television channels of B4U Group. He also was integral in the legal aspects of production of slate of films produced by B4U Group.
• At Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. (2020-2023), Kedar served as the legal single point of contact (SPOC) for various business verticals of the company and strategically focused on drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contracts for the company's OTT division, content syndication, and original content development. He was also an integral part in the development of the metaverse project of the company, launching NFT project for the Company.
• Presently, Kedar is handling Media and Entertainment work and advising several clients of the Firm for their film, television serial, webseries project, syndication and acquisition deals, drafting and negotiating contracts for the clients with artists, broadcasters, OTT platforms, etc.
