Career Progression

• Niharika has almost a decade of experience in intellectual property rights mainly copyright and trademark and has a strong background in advising clients in media and entertainment sector, including broadcasters, production houses, studios and distributors.
• Niharika started her career with IndiaCast Media Distribution Private Limited, where she worked for the international division of the company, majorly focusing on agreements pertaining to syndication and licensing of Viacom18’s content globally.
• Thereafter, during her career span with Phantom Films, Reliance Entertainment and Jio Studios, she worked on numerous deals and transactions pertaining to production and distribution of various types of content, principally feature films and web-series.
• Further in 2020, Niharika moved south to master the nuances of the South Indian film trade. She worked with one of the leading production house Dream Warrior Pictures in Chennai, Tamil Nadu as Senior Legal Counsel. She has hands on experience and understanding of the contracts and commercial transactions in the Kollywood, Tollywood and other south Indian film industries. She also advised the sister concerns of Dream Warrior Pictures namely Potential Studios, a production house and PraDe, a luxury jewellery label.
• Niharika joined ANM Global as a Principal Associate in July, 2021 and later on was promoted as an Associate Partner in the Media and Entertainment practice of the firm. Niharika contributed to the Firm’s Mumbai branch as well as helped in establishing the Firm’s Chennai branch office catering to South film industry.
